An argument which developed between well-known dancehall artiste Gyptian and producer DJ Frass has left one man dead.

Dancehall/Reggae Artiste Jahvinci Shells Down Montreal And London



Corey Todd Records recording artiste Jahvinci returned to the island on Monday after a hectic two week trip that saw him performing at over three shows on two continents.

Jahvinci performed at the Montreal Reggae Fest two weeks ago and flew from Canada to England to perform on two major shows.

"Montreal was sick, the show was proper, everything ah work....Montreal was mad, mad, mad, next time mi a go back, I have to have a band, because ah de so mi get the biggest forward from mi a fly from then until now," Jahvinci said in a release.

Energy Gad Vs JPS - Begins on November 30th



The alleged abstracting electricity artiste Elephant Man aka the Energy Gad is slated to reappear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court for the beginning of his trial on November 30.

The deejay will fight his case with the help of his attorney Linda Wright.

On June 2, a team of JPS members alongside the police force raided the deejay house after suspecting that the Energy Gad's electricity connections were not legally connected.

According to JPS, Elephant Man's regular estimated bills are always expected to be over 60,000 as most of the Energy Gad's electrical appliances are High Watts…

Khago nominated for MOBO award for Best Reggae Act

Khago has been nominated for a MOBO award in the category of Best Reggae Act alongside Jah Cure, Mavado, Damian Marley and Nas, and Alborosie.

Bolt false starts and is eliminated from 100 final

Jamaica's Usain Bolt was disqualified from the final of the men's 100m at the World Athletics Championships as countryman Yohan Blake took gold.

Defending champion Bolt caused shock in the stadium in Daegu as he came out of his blocks well before the gun.

Blake clocked 9.92 seconds to lead home American Walter Dix (10.08) and 2003 world champion Kim Collins (10.09).

But much of the talk will centre on the fate of Bolt, who still has the 200m and 4x100m to come.

Bolt was his usual relaxed self before the race, preening when his name was announced, and the outcome will no doubt lead people to question both his preparation and the false-start rule.

Previously athletes had been allowed one false start before being disqualified for a second, but new rules were introduced by governing body the IAAF for the start of the 2010 season.
